BlueLink Bridge privacy policy
Effective TBD. Applies to the BlueLink Bridge app (package dev.dreamz.bluelinkbridge) published by Dreamz Code (Jeremy Doege).
The short version
BlueLink Bridge has no accounts, analytics, ads or servers of our own. It only talks to the Bluetooth dongle you picked and whichever OBD app is connected to it.
What stays on your device
Your chosen dongle, sharing mode, allowlist and the first-launch flag live in local settings. An activity log is kept only while the app is running.
What leaves your device
OBD traffic travels between the Bluetooth dongle and whichever app you connect, over the sharing path you chose: a local-only hotspot the phone creates, your joined Wi-Fi, or loopback on the same phone. Nothing goes to us.
Permissions
Bluetooth to talk to the dongle, Wi-Fi state and (on older Android) location to run the local hotspot, nearby Wi-Fi devices, foreground service for the bridge, and notifications.
LAN mode
Running the bridge over your current Wi-Fi exposes the car's diagnostic port to the whole network, so a risk confirmation is shown every time LAN mode is started.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
