WeekendFleet privacy policy
Effective October 6, 2026. Applies to the WeekendFleet app published by Dreamz Code (Jeremy Doege).
The short version
WeekendFleet has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no ads and no servers of its own. Your data stays on your phone.
What stays on your device
Your vehicles, maintenance schedules, service records, costs, parts, meter readings and any photos or documents you attach are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Android device backup is turned off for the app.
What leaves your device
- VIN decoding (optional): when you tap Decode, the VIN (and model year, if you entered one) is sent to the US government's NHTSA vPIC decoder. No name or device identifier is sent. Boat HINs are decoded offline and never sent.
- Purchases: Google Play handles Pro purchases under Google's privacy policy. The app only learns whether Pro is unlocked.
Camera and scanning
The VIN/HIN scanner uses Google's ML Kit on your device. Pictures and scanned text are not saved or sent anywhere.
Permissions
Notifications and exact alarms (maintenance reminders), run at startup (to reschedule reminders after a reboot), internet (only for the optional features above), and camera (only for scanning).
Deleting your data
Use Settings › Data › Delete all data, or uninstall the app.
Children
WeekendFleet is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
