Power Monitor
Power Monitor reads the real battery and charger values your phone's kernel exposes, labels each one as measured, calculated or estimated, and logs sessions you can scroll through later. If a phone doesn't report a value, it says so instead of guessing a zero.
The story
- Problem
- Android hides most of the battery and charger detail that enthusiasts, cable testers and reviewers actually want, and most apps paper over the gaps by showing a single guessed number.
- Solution
- The app pulls values straight from the kernel's power-supply and thermal interfaces, pairs each one with a quality label, and never passes battery-side numbers off as charger input. Logging sessions capture everything on a schedule you pick, in a foreground service.
- Result
- The first milestone is built: dashboard, live graph, logging sessions, session history, capability registry and raw node dump. No ads, no network, no accounts.
Features
- Dashboard with battery and charger cards that hide anything the phone doesn't report
- Live tab with a real-time graph of power, current and other metrics
- Logging sessions with per-session graph, stats, event list and energy totals
- Thermal tab with system status, headroom and per-zone temperatures
- Sources tab showing every reading's quality, source and raw node
